All About Poptropica
Poptropica is a great, exciting and fun game for kids. In Poptropica, you go on different missions on islands. Each individual island has a different theme, and those themes range from superheroes to time travel and space adventures. In each mission, there are a number of different tasks to be done, usually in a specific order. There are a lot of hidden secrets and cheats in Poptropica and they are really fun to find. Here is a very quick overview of Poptropica to demonstrate everything that you can do in the game.
You can adventure on nine islands in Poptropica, with a 10th one arriving later in 2009. The most recent island, which became available in June is named Astro-Knights. The others are:
1. Early Poptropica
2. Sharktooth
3. 24 Carrot Island
4. Time-Tangled Island
5. Super Power Island
6. Spy Island
7. Nabooti Island
8. Big Nate
You can enjoy each island at your own pace and do them in whatever order you desire. It’s probably easiest to start with one of the first and simpler islands, like Early Poptropica before you advance to some of the more complicated missions. But you will have fun no matter which island you choose to play in Poptropica.
Poptropica is a side-scrolling game that involves a lot of jumping and avoiding obstacles as well as some dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Before you enter the game, you get to choose a character and can customize your appearance and clothing. You can play Poptropica with a new character every time you play, or save a character if you want the game to remember where you left off each time you return.
There are also multi-user rooms in each island where you can meet other characters in Poptropica and challenge them to battles or just chat using the pre-populated canned chat feature in the game.
Poptropica is a really fun and engaging game that will appeal to kids anywhere from ages 6-15.
